Sikaflex® Construction Purform® – Elastic joint sealant based on Purform® PU for connection and movement joints

Sikaflex® Construction Purform® is a one-component, non-sag, elastic polyurethane joint sealant for sealing connection and movement joints in concrete and masonry facades, with good application properties. It offers very good adhesion to many substrates and shows good weather and ageing resistance, with a permissible total deformation of 25%.

Areas of application:

Used for elastic joint sealing and the sealing of connection and movement joints in building envelopes indoors and outdoors, including:

Connection joints in building construction

on windows and doors
on roller shutter boxes, facades, metal claddings and concrete components

OTTO smoothing agent concentrate The OTTO smoothing agent concentrate is a highly effective aqueous solution of surface-active substances, developed specifically for smoothing silicone, polyurethane and MS hybrid polymer sealants. It is optimally matched to OTTO sealants and allows individual dilution depending on the sealant and application. Areas of application The OTTO smoothing agent concentrate is ideal for smoothing the surface of silicone, polyurethane and MS hybrid polymer sealants. Properties Aqueous solution of surface-active substances Suspension – homogenise before use Gentle on the skin thanks to dermatologically tested active ingredients Does not degrease the skin Concentrated, individually dilutable with water depending on sealant and application Preserves the gloss of the sealant surface Colour pigments of the sealant are not washed out Not suitable for marble and other natural stones Application notes Shake bottles and canisters well before use and homogenise the smoothing agent. For drums, stir with a clean stirring tool before use and homogenise. Always use the OTTO smoothing agent concentrate fresh and sparingly, diluting with water as required. Apply the smoothing agent to the sealant surface as sparingly as possible and only lightly wet the smoothing tools. The smoothing agent must not remain and dry on the sealant joint or adjacent surfaces, as dried residues may cause visual impairment (matt/light patches). Smoothing agent residues must be removed with clean water before they dry. The stronger the dilution, the stronger the tendency towards matt, light residues (recommended dilution ratio 1 part concentrate : 3 parts water). Before use, ensure compatibility with adjacent surfaces such as coated wood through preliminary tests. The 5 l canisters are equipped with an anti-glug system.
