SikaHyflex®-250 Facade – Elastic, weather-resistant high-performance sealant for facades

SikaHyflex®-250 Facade is a moisture-curing, elastic one-part high-performance sealant based on i-Cure™ polyurethane technology for building construction. It is designed specifically for joint sealing in accordance with DIN 18540, but is also suitable for connection joints.

Application:

For joints in building construction that must be sealed in accordance with the rules of DIN 18540. Also suitable for connection joints on windows and doors, concrete and rendered facades, natural stone facades, balcony parapets and gallery railings, and many other components.

SikaHyflex®-250 Facade can also be used for certain fire-rated joint seals in horizontal and vertical building elements. However, this is only done in combination with a suitable fire protection joint cord.

Substrate pre-treatment:

The joint flanks must be load-bearing, firm, clean, dry and free of oil, grease, loose particles, cement laitance, paints, water repellents and anti-graffiti coatings.

Fire protection joint cord for expansion and movement joints – REX A1 SG 300 The modern joint cord SG 300 was developed as the powerful successor to the proven SG 300 N and meets the highest requirements just like its predecessor. It consists of a non-combustible joint filling system in accordance with DIN 4102-A1 and EN 13501-1 and, depending on the configuration, provides 30 to 180 minutes of reliable fire resistance. This prevents the transfer of heat, fire and combustible gases in expansion and movement joints – ideal for demanding projects in building construction, civil engineering, tunnelling and industrial construction. With improved material properties, optimised workability and a wider range of applications, the SG 300 joint cord sets new standards. Particularly important for existing applications: the 30 mm and 40 mm diameters of the SG 300 N are no longer available from the manufacturer. The SG 300 serves as a fully equivalent, compatible alternative and successor product.
