Sikaflex®-403 Tank & Silo – Joint sealing system for agricultural slurry (JGS) and biogas plants

Sikaflex®-403 Tank & Silo is an elastic special sealant with DIBt building-authority approval for sealing agricultural L and A installations as well as segmented steel tanks. By reacting with atmospheric moisture, Sikaflex®-403 Tank & Silo cures to a permanently elastic sealant and is applied as a stable, easily spreadable paste. It is ideally suited for sealing agricultural slurry plants, biogas plants and wastewater installations.

Approvals:

Sikaflex®-403 Tank & Silo has building-authority approval for sealing drive-over silos and storage and filling areas where water-hazardous substances from agricultural slurry plants (liquid manure, slurry, silage effluent) are stored and filled. It is approved under approval numbers Z-74.62-212 (black) and Z-74.62-213 (concrete grey).

Properties:

• Extremely heat-resistant: suitable for use in biogas plants at temperatures from +30°C to +65°C
• Building-authority approval: DIBt-approved for storage and filling areas of slurry and biogas plants
• Trafficable: suitable for areas with forklift traffic and agricultural vehicles
• Permissible total deformation: 15% in approved installations, 20% in other applications
• Chemical-resistant: resistant to liquid manure, slurry, silage effluent, wastewater and numerous chemicals
• Mechanical strength: high tear propagation resistance thanks to polyurethane technology
• Corrosion protection: sealing and protection of steel segments against water and water-soluble chemicals
• UV and weather resistant: suitable for long-term outdoor use
