Product description

OTTOFLEX® liquid membrane is a high-quality bonded waterproofing on a synthetic resin dispersion basis, developed specifically for use in damp and wet rooms under ceramic coverings and natural stone in the thin-bed method. It is ready to use and offers high crack-bridging and a very short drying time.

Areas of application

OTTOFLEX® liquid membrane is ideally suited as bonded waterproofing in damp and wet rooms under ceramic coverings and natural stone. It can be applied to various substrates such as gypsum, plasterboard, gypsum fibre, render, (aerated) concrete, masonry and screed.

Application notes

Stir OTTOFLEX® liquid membrane well before use.
Apply with a short-pile lambskin or foam roller.
First seal the wall corners and the corners between wall and floor with OTTOFLEX® sealing tape.
Apply OTTOFLEX® liquid membrane in an even layer thickness to wall and floor.
After a drying time of at least 1 hour, carry out a second application.
The waterproofing must be carried out in at least 2 steps with different colours (contrast).
Standard tile adhesives in the thin-bed method can be applied to the liquid membrane after approx. 2–3 hours.
For floor waterproofing, extend at least 5 cm up the wall and cover with the plinth.
Wall waterproofing must extend at least 20 cm above the highest water outlet (e.g. shower head).
Given the many possible influences during processing and application, always carry out a trial application first.

Note on the scope of delivery: These containers include the colour paste required for the second application.

The drying time depends on ambient factors such as temperature, air movement, humidity and the absorbency of the substrate. At +20 °C and 50% relative humidity, the drying time is around 2 hours.
