OTTOSEAL® S 94 – The neutral-cure fire protection silicone B1
OTTOSEAL® S 94 is a one-part oxime silicone sealant that is neutral-curing and MEKO-free. The sealant is distinguished by its high fire protection class B1 (flame-retardant) to DIN 4102 and offers very good weather, ageing and UV resistance. These properties make OTTOSEAL® S 94 ideal for indoor and outdoor applications with increased fire protection requirements.
Product properties and advantages:
- B1 – flame-retardant: Classification to DIN 4102 for use where fire protection requirements are increased.
- Very elastic: High flexibility and movement capability for durable seals.
- Weather and UV resistance: Optimal for outdoor use and extreme conditions.
- Non-corrosive: No corrosion on unprotected metal surfaces.
- Paint compatible: To DIN 52452, but not paintable – no interaction with adjacent coatings.
Areas of application:
- Sealing fire protection elements, e.g. fire-rated glazing.
- Joint sealing in areas with high fire protection requirements.
Technical data:
- Flame-retardant: Building material class B1 to DIN 4102.
- Skin formation: approx. 10 minutes.
- Curing: approx. 2 mm in 24 hours at +23 °C / 50% r.h.
- Temperature resistance: -40 °C to +180 °C.
- Movement capability: 25%.

- Tested to EN 15651 – Part 1: F EXT-INT CC 25 LM.
- Tested to EN 15651 – Part 2: G CC 25 LM.
- Tested to EN 15651 – Part 4: PW INT 12.5 E.
- Tested to DIN 4102-B1 – flame-retardant between solid mineral building materials (Holzforschung TU Munich).
- Tested to DIN 25415, Part 1 – very good decontaminability of the sealant surface (Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing, Berlin).
- Quality seal of the IVD – German sealants industry association, tested by ift Rosenheim.
- Compliant with Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (REACH).
