It is suitable for indoor and outdoor use, ready to use and gentle on the skin. Areas of application The smoothing agent is used to smooth the surface of silicone, polyurethane and MS hybrid polymer sealants and to preserve the gloss of the sealant surface. Application notes For applications in connection with marble and other natural stones, we recommend the OTTO marble silicone smoothing agent GLM. Remove any water streaks immediately after sealing. The smoothing agent must not remain and dry on the sealant joint or adjacent surfaces, as dried residues may cause visual impairment (matt/light patches). Use the smoothing agent as sparingly as possible, e.g. only lightly wet the smoothing tools or apply selectively with a clean brush. Smoothing agent residues must be removed with clean water before they dry. Before use, ensure compatibility with adjacent surfaces through preliminary tests. OTTO smoothing agent concentrate The OTTO smoothing agent concentrate is a highly effective aqueous solution of surface-active substances, developed specifically for smoothing silicone, polyurethane and MS hybrid polymer sealants. It is optimally matched to OTTO sealants and allows individual dilution depending on the sealant and application. Areas of application The OTTO smoothing agent concentrate is ideal for smoothing the surface of silicone, polyurethane and MS hybrid polymer sealants. For drums, stir with a clean stirring tool before use and homogenise. Always use the OTTO smoothing agent concentrate fresh and sparingly, diluting with water as required. Apply the smoothing agent to the sealant surface as sparingly as possible and only lightly wet the smoothing tools. The smoothing agent must not remain and dry on the sealant joint or adjacent surfaces, as dried residues may cause visual impairment (matt/light patches). Smoothing agent residues must be removed with clean water before they dry. The stronger the dilution, the stronger the tendency towards matt, light residues (recommended dilution ratio 1 part concentrate : 3 parts water).
