Product information "Ramsauer 450 Sanitary"

450 Sanitary, acetate-curing – The ideal sealant for perfect sanitary joints

Looking for the ideal sealant for jointing work in wet and damp rooms? 450 Sanitary is the perfect solution for sealing connection and expansion joints in sanitary areas as well as for ceramic wall and floor coverings. The acid-curing silicone adheres reliably to tiles, glass, plastics and aluminium and is extremely ageing-resistant. Thanks to fungicidal ingredients, mould growth is effectively prevented and the joint remains in top condition even when cleaned with standard household products.

Product properties and advantages:

  • Simple, good workability: Special viscosity and optimal smoothing behaviour make application easier.
  • Water-repellent: Moisture beads off and does not attack the joint.
  • Fast skin formation and through-curing: Increases efficiency during application.
  • Available in many colours: Including individual custom colours.
  • Approved for use in food areas: Ideal for hygiene areas.

Key areas of use:

  • Connection joints of a tiled floor: A low-emission sealant with a broad adhesion spectrum can be used for lightly stressed joints in interior finishing.
  • Sealing bathtubs: Fungicidal, water-resistant sealants ensure tight joints in the bathroom over the long term.
  • Sealing movement joints: An elastic sealant ideally compensates for stresses between individual building elements.
  • Sealing floor joints in sanitary areas: Sealants for heavily stressed joints in sanitary areas must absorb movement and be resistant to microorganisms.
  • Jointing cleanrooms: Particularly abrasion-resistant sealants are used to meet strict cleanroom guidelines.

Further areas of use:

  • Jointing and bonding in kitchens: Materials used in drinking water and food areas must comply with applicable standards.
  • Installing wall claddings in industrial halls: Resistant materials with a broad adhesion spectrum are used for bonding and sealing wall panels.
  • Sealing in sanitary areas: Water-resistant sealants with high movement absorption and resistance to microorganisms are particularly important here.

Technical data:

  • Application temperature: +5°C to +35°C
  • Density: ~1.0 (EN ISO 1183-1)

  • Elongation at break: ~350% (EN ISO 8339)
  • Temperature resistance: -40°C to +180°C
  • Skin formation time: ~8 min (at +23°C, 50% RH)
  • Shore hardness: ~30 (EN ISO 868)
