Car glass sealing 100 ml

Dark-Woods car glass sealing is a temporary alcohol-based coating material based on chemical nanotechnology that creates an easy-to-clean effect on car windows. The rubbed-on material creates a thin film on the surfaces that reduces the adhesion of dirt and foreign substances and lets water bead off more easily. Coated surfaces are particularly easy to clean. At higher speeds (from approx. 80 km/h) the use of windscreen wipers is no longer necessary or greatly reduced. Added to this are greatly improved night vision and considerably less effort (up to 80%) when clearing the window of ice, insects or other soiling.

Application quantity: approx. 5–15 ml per m²

Curing/drying: drying time at least 30 minutes, better approx. 2–3 hours, curing 24 hours

Application temperature: +10°C to +25°C surface temperature of the window – please never apply in direct sunlight -

Application:
Wearing gloves is recommended. Dark-Woods car glass sealing draws moisture from the skin. The
application should be checked on an inconspicuous spot or a sample area. Do not apply at temperatures below +5 °C.

Preparation:
The surface must be carefully freed of dirt, oil and grease contamination. After pre-cleaning, we always recommend treatment with bio-ethanol or methylated spirits or another alcohol-based universal cleaner. Afterwards, you can briefly rinse again with sufficient water, but this is no longer essential. Please do not treat the surface with other cleaners afterwards; instead, seal it in the next step. If the window has already been coated with another sealing in the past, Dark-Woods can only develop its effect after this coating has been completely removed. 

Coating:
The coating can be applied from an outside temperature of 5 degrees; we recommend a temperature of 10 degrees or higher. The coating is applied by rubbing or polishing on with a cotton cloth moistened with Dark-Woods car glass sealing. We recommend using a Dark-Woods cleaning cloth, as it has been specially adapted to our products  PLEASE DO NOT SPRAY DIRECTLY ONTO THE WINDOW!

The material is spread sparingly with circular movements on the clean car window. (Depending on the age of the window, you need approx. 5–15 ml per m²). After application, please wait a few minutes until the sealing has formed its chemical bond (approx. 5 minutes, somewhat longer at cooler temperatures), then polish in with a second clean cotton cloth. If you still see streaks on the window later or the next day, they can be polished in at any time afterwards. If final polishing is no longer possible, too much material was applied to the window.

Proof of effect via drop test:
Water should form drops over the entire surface but no even film.

Drying:
The easy-to-clean effect sets in approx. 30 minutes after polishing. It takes approx. 24 hours to achieve the full effect (again depending on the ambient temperature). If the temporary easy-to-clean effect wears off, proceed as with the initial treatment to refresh the effect.

Environmental influence:
At temperatures above +25 °C, coat smaller sections. Do not use below +5 °C.
